"Наполеон" (Napoleon) - очень неровный фильм. Здесь странный и резкий монтаж. Некоторые сцены скомканы, другие, наоборот, показаны подробно. Кажется, для театрального релиза кино сильно покромсали и полновесное впечатление можно будет составить только при просмотре режиссерской версии на Apple TV хронометражем в четыре часа.

Однако, даже тут впечатляют батальные сражения. Битвы при Аустерлице и Ватерлоо - мое почтение. Сэр Ридли Скотт хотя бы такое не разучился снимать. Чувствуется огромный бюджет и размах. Арт, декорации, костюмы - все это выглядит вполне аутентично и радует глаз. Жаль, что кампанию 1812 очень мельком показали,а ведь первое крупное поражение Бонапарта можно было сильно подать.

Немного странно, что почти весь фильм сэр Ридли Скотт фокусируется на личных отношениях Наполеона и Жозефины. Вот это, пожалуй, единственная линия, которая выглядит законченной и раскрытой. Все остальное (общественные события, карьера, политический фон) немного смазаны.

P.S. Жду полную версию. Мне кажется, там кино может раскрыться лучше.
