Отвратительное и пошлое кино. Сплошной крик и ор. Вместо качественной драмы мы видим иллюстрации из нарезок "Библии", вместо интересных персонажей  - сплошные ходячие карикатуры. Не читал пьесу "Мученик", но, кажется, что режиссер не смог для большого экрана адекватно адаптировать то, что интересно выглядит только на сцене. Педофильские моменты с налетом "Спотлайта" тут и вовсе кажутся инородным телом. Серебренников не умеет держать себя "в рамках", ему подавай сплошные истерики вместо тихого развития конфликта. Мир "Ученика" сильно далек от реальности, потому что в фильме сплошная неправда. Фильм слишком схоластичный и искусственный, чтобы ему верить. 

Мой финальный прогноз на номинантов Киноакадемии. В качестве обзора выбраны все категории, кроме грима, документалки, звука, монтажа звука и короткометражек. В лучшем фильме указано 9 возможных лент (напомню, их может быть по правилам от 5 до 10). Итак, вот кого номинируют на "Оскар-2017" по моей версии:
