Отвратительное и пошлое кино. Сплошной крик и ор. Вместо качественной драмы мы видим иллюстрации из нарезок "Библии", вместо интересных персонажей  - сплошные ходячие карикатуры. Не читал пьесу "Мученик", но, кажется, что режиссер не смог для большого экрана адекватно адаптировать то, что интересно выглядит только на сцене. Педофильские моменты с налетом "Спотлайта" тут и вовсе кажутся инородным телом. Серебренников не умеет держать себя "в рамках", ему подавай сплошные истерики вместо тихого развития конфликта. Мир "Ученика" сильно далек от реальности, потому что в фильме сплошная неправда. Фильм слишком схоластичный и искусственный, чтобы ему верить. 

Мой финальный прогноз на номинантов Киноакадемии. В качестве обзора выбраны все категории, кроме грима, документалки, звука, монтажа звука и короткометражек. "Ла-Ла Ленд" (La La Land) - для меня тот случай, когда техническая сила фильма "задвинула" в дальний ящик сюжетные и чисто зрительские моменты. Честно слово, вот на экране происходит трогательная любовь-морковь и "химия" между главными актерами (между прочим, в очередной раз) ослепляет глаза, а меня на этом фоне восхищает именно режиссерский перфоманс Шазеля. Дэмьен собрал в кулак все свое мастерство и виртуозно снял "большое кино" в духе старого Голливуда. Уже после "Виплаша" было заметно, что мейнстримовый дух американского студийного кино ему куда ближе по нраву, нежели фестивальные инди-ленты "Санденса". После "Одержимости" постановщика некоторые критики стали сравнивать с Финчером (саспенс в дуэли учителя-ученика просто зашкаливал), а теперь с кем его сравнить? С Бобом Фосси? С Джином Келли? С Винсентом Миннелли?

Эмоционально меня "Ла-Ла Ленд" не так тронул, как многих других очевидцев. Я скорее впечатлен фильмом, а не влюблен в него. Скажем, от того же "Бердмэна" я получил более сильный отклик (там, кстати, тот же дуализм перфекционизма формы и нарратива), нежели от трех букв "Л". При просмотре некоторых сцен в голову лезли мысли "как он это снял" и "сколько это репетировали", что лично мне мешало проникаться модерновой лав-стори. Но Шазелю, надо признать, было крайне сложно снимать этот мюзикл: ему нужно было создать нечто "свое", разместившись между традицией и развенчанием клише. И, пожалуй, это все же удалось. "Ла-Ла Ленд" выглядит вполне оригинальным проектом, хотя балансирует на грани оммажа в историю кино. В финальной десятиминутке и вовсе начинается "кино-кино", которое способно поднять на ноги больного и отрезвить алкоголика. Дайте джазу. Но вот танцы - нет... Пожалуй, перфоманс ЛаБафа на столе под завыванье Рианны для меня стоит всех номеров чудесного мюзикла.
