Посмотрел дебютную режиссерскую работу Анны Кендрик и остался в смешанных чувствах. Вообщем ее, как и дебют Зои Кравитц недавний, сильно портит фем-повестка и общее ощущение "митушности". Посудите сами: в этой ленте охранник на шоу и полиция тупо игнорят важного свидетеля (а это, конечно, афроамериканка); ее бойфренд ей же не верит; на шоу собрались какие-то придурки с тупыми сексистскими ответами про девушек; на пробах в сериалы обязательно спрашивают про обнаженку. А в это время где-то гуляет маньяк и убивает девушек.

"Свидание с монстром" (Woman of the Hour) - это такое старательное, но абсолютно безликое с авторской точки зрения кино. Оно сделано качественно, но не цепляет ни режиссерской подачей, ни нарративом. Между тем, сам эпизод ТВ-шоу выглядит будто родом из другого фильма. Наверное, Анна Кендрик хотела побольше материала в фильме для себя как актрисы и поэтому решила покрасоваться. Вот она какая умная и красивая. А все мужики - козлы. Вообщем смотреть можно, но этот фильм выветривается из памяти сразу же после финальных титров.
