Пересматривал "Чужих" (Aliens) тут. Пожалуй, мои претензии те же, что и раньше были.
Кино не особо страшное, в отличие от "Чужого". Здесь ксеноморфов много, Кэмерон берет количеством. Конечно, из сай-фая он делает он классный боевик, но для меня это не так интересно, как фантастический хоррор Ридли Скотта.
У Кэмерона все с размахом и технически ну офигенно круто сделано. Вот все прям на своем месте: звук, монтаж, спецэффекты и т.д. Но "Чужие" - предсказуемый фильм, где ты примерно заранее все знаешь. Вот эти типичные тропы несколько снижают градус эффекта.
Да, у Джеймса любопытная фишка столкнуть "двух матерей" лицом к лицу - Рипли и Матку-ксеноморфа. Сцена, где после некоторой паузы Рипли все-таки сжигает яйца - офигенная. Но вот вся история со спасенной (причем трижды) девочкой - немного перебор. При этом, когда Рипли одна возвращается за девочкой обратно, уже идет обратный отсчет до атомного взрыва. Но мы знаем, что она спасет и успеет.
