Дошел в череде пересмотров франшизы до третьего "Чужого" (Alien³ ). Надо сказать, фильм не так плох, как мне казался ранее. Тут достигает апогея идея о том, что Компания (ее даже как-то назвали впервые, но я не запомнил) готова пожертвовать всем ради эмбриона ксеноморфа. В принципе уже в "Чужих" было заметно (и Рипли должна была это понимать), что единственная миссия корпорации - вовсе не уничтожение чужих, а попытка их привезти в качестве образца. Только тут это разжевывается очень подробно.

Фильм неплох атмосферой всеобщего декаденства и пост-апа. Действие происходит на планете-тюрьме, где доживают свои жизни отъявленные негодяи и отморозки. Надо сказать, это был один из многих вариантов сценария. И это тоже проблема фильма, так как к четкому знаменателю продюсеры так и не пришли. А в первоначальном виде заключенных не было вовсе. Вместо них были.... монахи, которые жили на какой-то планете по своим условно средневековым обрядам и верованиям. Но в итоге монахов сделали зэками.

Сходу тут сразу пошли клише франшизы: спаслась только Рипли, опять она куда-то не туда "причалила", народ долго не может понять и поверить в инопланетных тварей (в "Чужих" спецназ сначала угорал над заданием, а тут начальник тюрьмы вовсе не верил - пока его не сожрали). Дальше все идет по накатанной: Чужой убивает направо и налево, пока на него не сливают расплавленный свинец. Конец истории вроде бы.

Главная идея о самопожертвовании Рипли во славу будущего человечества неплоха (а она все равно фактически мертва, так как внутри нее зародыш ксеноморфа), но уж снята слишком пафосно и безлико. Так что финал не особо "работает". А вот режиссерские фишки вроде субьективного взгляда от чужого в погонях - камера быстро "наезжает" в туннелях - для того времени выглядят интересно. Ну ведь сам Финчер снимал, он уже в дебюте много чего умел.
